Tet, or the Lunar New year, is the largest and most important traditional celebration in Vietnam. The Vietnamese celebrate Tet sometimes between late January and early February, depending on the lunar calendar. It’s a national holiday and celebration can last from seven to ten days. All over the country, millions of people travel long distance to celebrate Tet with their families. In big cities like Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Noi, Hue, etc, … there are popular events including flowers festivals, light shows, dragon dances, puppet shows, book fairs, classical music performances and even cake making contests. There are also some amazing fireworks displays.
